The Pen and Paper Inn - Play by Post Roleplaying on MTG Salvation.com

I've been spending quite a bit of time on MTG Salvation lately because I've drifted back into the collectible card game hobby with Magic: The Gathering. However, one of the forums I stumbled upon while I was there surprised me. They have a sub-forum devoted to play by post RPGs! I don't know if I'll ever take part, but I found it interesting, nonetheless.

Perhaps this will be the perfect location for my Shadow's Apex campaign to begin...

Anybody know other places to find decent play by post games? As our game night becomes less and less reliable, I'm finding the need for a gaming outlet. Computer RPGs are a quick fix, but don't satisfy me long-term.

  1. MythWeavers is probably the best site for PbP out there. Check it out if you are interested in PbP. You seriously won't find a site that is better equipped for PbP games. Dice rollers and character sheets are built in, with various other applications that are available to make PbP go smoothly, as well as a community with a ton of experience to draw on. For those that are interested in more D&D than they are able to get with their game group, MythWeavers is probably the best place to find it.

  2. Second that. MythWeavers is probably the easiest-to-use, friendliest, and has the most tools.

there are other sites out there too - probably most notably rpol.net - but MythWeavers is probably the place your most likely to find a game or some players for one easiest and has the shallowest learning curve

  3. I'll check MythWeavers out. I'm not sure I'll ever actually participate in a play-by-post game, but I would like to scout out a few to see if I could see myself getting involved.
